De introductie van de mascotte!

Hallo allemaal,                                                                                            
De mascotte verbonden aan het Comenius project: "The Four Elements" is geïntroduceerd in groep 1.
De mascotte is een draak en als zodanig vertegenwoordigd in alle deelnemende landen.

Introduction of the dragon in group 1. He's the new Friend and is called DAAN as the name out of a Dutch book called: "Also dragons  have to sleep."
They told that a dragon is green, he eat people, he is present in fairy tales and he's spitting fire!

De kinderen waren direct enthousiast en hebben hem onmiddelijk opgenomen als nieuw vriendje in de groep.We hebben gepraat over de kenmerken van eeen draak.

Enkele reacties waren:

1.Hij is vaak groen. 2. Hij spuwt met vuur. 3. Hij eet mensen op. 4. Hij komt voor in sprookjes.

Bij de boeken in onze groep was ook een boek met de titel: "Ook draken moeten slapen."

Juf Ans heeft dit voorgelezen en de draak heeft dezelfde naam gekregen als het draakje in het prentenboek. De Nederlandse draak heet dus: DAAN!

Ook hebben we een welkomstliedje voor hem gezongen.

"Wees welkom hier bij ons, het is erg leuk in onze klas,

je hebt een eigen stoel en een haakje voor je jas.

Je hebt een mooie naam, die hebben we gehoord,

Welkom Draak Daan hier in onze klas!"

Actual point, planning. What is in our activity plan?	Implementation of the project 1. Comenius wall 2. Weather report on the first Monday of each month 3. Individuel experiment of The Netherlands( Activities)
Goal What do we want to achieve?	1.Visible project for teachers, children and parents. Create a start symbol for project.
Activities   What are we going to do and how?	1.Presenting the 9 participants in the surface of each country with their own properties. 2.Characterizes of the theme EARTH with following subjects: destruction,protection, population, continents, climate, landscape,natural calamity,planets and agriculture. 3. A song about the theme EARTH has been created.
Math’s/ Science and Technology How do we integrate these subjects in our activity?	Count the number of inhabitants/surface of the countries. Compare the temperature in the different countries.
Result What happened?	Increased interest /curiosity  for other countries, used imagination to create countries of their own using ICT. Children found out something about the country.
Evaluation How did it work out?	Good result, a lot of inspiration and interest to future European work together. The work method was good and created an interest for the project and European cooperation

Meeting in Palencia

Impressions of the meeting in Palencia
Hallo allemaal,
Dinsdag 28 februari j.l. zijn juf Ans en juf José vertrokken voor de Comenius meeting "The Four Elements" in Palencia.
We hebben het element AARDE geëvalueerd en een plan opgezet voor het nieuwe element WATER.
We zulllen vanaf nu twee maanden aan dit element werken en vanaf hier zullen we jullie op de hoogte houden van deze WATER activiteiten in de verschillende groepen.
Hieronder enkele impressies van de meeting in Palencia.

Daniel, een jongen afkomstig uit Nederland, woont nu in Palencia.

                                        De mascotte (een draakje) die overal met ons meereist!

Tijdens ons bezoek hebben de Spaanse leerlingen, vanaf 3 -12 jaar, elk deelnemend land verrast met een dans/voordracht.
